Uma coisa básica que não acreditarás que tens estado a fazer mal.

Se és como nós, de vez em quando és capaz de ter alguns problemas ao tentar realizar tarefas complexas, como por exemplo, tentar conduzir uma ambulância a enviar mensagens de texto ao mesmo tempo, de olhos vendados, a comer uma banana. Mas ao menos será seguro afirmar que a grande maioria de nós já descobriu como fazer aquelas coisas simples que nos ajudam a passar todos os dias das nossas vidas, certo?

EXCEPTO, sabes, algumas das coisas simples que temos feito todos os dias das nossas vidas, como...

- Fazer cocós -

O que poderia ser mais simples neste mundo do que dar uma boa cagadela? Até os bebés são bons nisso! Então ficarias surpreendido ao descobrir que mesmo aqueles de nós que já conseguimos arrotar sem vomitarmos o nosso próprio babéte, continuamos a fazer isto mal, todos os santos dias.

Aquele que acabou de vomitar no ombro daquela pessoa sabe fazer cocó melhor que ela.

A probabilidade quase certa é que neste preciso momento existe mesmo pertinho de ti uma sanita à qual tens acesso. A sanita é uma invenção relativamente recente que entrou nas nossas vidas e corações com o aparecimento da canalização interior, no século XIX (19). A canalização interior tem resultado muito bem na grande maioria dos casos, mas o estilo que se adoptou para se fazerem os cocós, que veio com ela, não resultou tão bem. Fazer necessidades sólidas numa sanita moderna é uma grande parte do problema: "de onde vêem as hemorroidas?", e outros problemas de saude. E as coisas não estão a ficar melhor: As ultimas décadas têm visto um grande aumento na popularidade das sanitas de "altura confortável" que são ligeiramente mais altas do que as antecedentes, e que tornam o acto de nos cagarmos bem mais dificultado.

As sanitas do futuro existirão apenas para nos destruir.

Mas então que raio é que é suposto nós fazermos?

Com sorte, sabemos duma maneira relativamente simples de terminar este dilema do cocó. Um estudo de 2003 observou 28 pessoas a irem à casa de banho em três posições distintas: sentadas numa sanita alta, sentadas numa sanita baixinha, e de cócoras, como se fossemos forçados a faze-lo no meio de uma floresta. As pessoas que estavam a realizar este estudo acabaram por descobrir e concluir que fazer necessidades de cócoras levava à volta de menos 1 minuto do que habitual, e os participantes descreviam a experiencia como sendo mais "facil" (e cá nós só esperamos que estas pessoas tenham sido bem pagas).

De facto, as sanitas que nos forçam a ficar de cócoras têm sido o "normal" durante grande parte da história humana e são ainda grandemente utilizadas no mundo mais Oriental.

Estes são exemplos de como essas sanitas são, e como devem ser utilizadas.

De acordo com médicos proctologistas: "Não fomos feitos para nos sentarmos em sanitas, mas sim para nos acocorarmos no campo." Quando estamos numa posição sentada estamos a formar um angulo nos nossos interiores que simplesmente não facilita a propagação da matéria fecal. Até existe um músculo que tem o único propósito de apertar estes canais quando estamos de pé ou sentados para "evitar acidentes". Estarmos de cócoras endireita este angulo, proporcionando uma maior liberdade de fluxo.

Mais ou menos desta maneira.

Se tiverem curiosos por experimentar esta tecnica, mas por alguma razão não tiverem uma sanita destas OU a ideia de se acocorarem em cima da vossa sanita comum não vos agrada, podem sempre emular a posição, sentando-se normalmente na sanita, colocando os pés numa plataforma mais elevada, por exemplo um banquinho, e inclinando-se para a frente ficando com o peito apoiado nas pernas. Experimentem, vão ver como é mais fácil de o fazer e bastante menos difícil de limpar. A sério!

Assim.

Agora sim, podem sair ao mundo a gritar que finalmente aprenderam a fazer cocó da maneira mais acertada!

DIY Camera Stabilizer!

So as you all may know ( or not ) the Flip Ultra HD Camera (which is what we use) does NOT have image stabilization, not even digital stabilization, so, for fast paced scenes, or even some faster handheld scenes, the camera simply shakes to much, so we set out to make a DIY Camera Stabilizer.

We tried several methods and ideas that people have created and posted on youtube, but we ended up prefering one of them LOTS over the others.

The Original Stabilizer consists of 3 pieces of PVC with a PVC 'T' Joint and 2 45º Elbows with Weights at the tips.

As we couldn't get white PVC anywhere, we used standard kitchen plumbing PVC, and instead of Bike Pegs for Weights we actually used Fishing Lead Weights, 5x70g on each side. Also, instead of using a 'T' Joint, we used a 'y' joint, as you can see in the video.

Jade and Blue where just chillin' when Jade remembered that they could add digital video effects to their movies because he knew a little After Effects, so he went on his computer and started pruning his skills! The end result was the tiny 'Catching Fireflies' flick, just so you can see what they've been up to!

One day Jade & Blue where playing Call of Duty Nazi Zombies when they decided they needed a 'survivor' (so they could close up all the windows) and when they looked at him it was love at first sight. They decided to name him Obama because he was so cute and cudly and friendly.

Hence they had the wonderful idea to make a movie about him, BUT since they had just seen Shane Lee's Octave Video they decided to make it a video response to him!
